7 Poem

7 Poem

1
Brown leaves fall from old
oak. Air is warm in sun, breeze
whispers jagged ice.

2
Bright eyed newlyweds
laugh, hold hands, and know no thing,
but a forever.

3
Antique old man bends
on aged church pew, face carved in
solemn contentment.

4
Christmas subtracts ma’s
peach cobbler. Granddaughter’s smile
reflects in pie pans.

5
A teenage knife glints
under red moon. Mother waits
in door, heart praying.

6
Hearing gospel heals
like liquid love. Drowned swine lie
prostrate on cliffs shore.

7
Even warm lives know
jagged whispers. Miracle!
Jesus makes life sweet.
